Elaine was born and raised in South L.A. during the 1950s and 1960s. A natural tendency to create colorful works and paint from life experiences has been her path since childhood. She worked full-time all of her life, but at one point, decided to attend college part-time. When she did, a whole new world opened up. She participated in several exhibits; had her first solo show at a local art gallery; joined artist co-ops; participated in group shows in downtown San Diego. When the world was in lock-down mode and retirement finally happened, Elaine saw it as an opportunity to finally do what she wanted all her life: paint.
